• Draft, revise, and finalise the agreed written work
• Keep basic business records (such as invoices and payments)
I do not use your data for marketing, mailing lists, or unrelated purposes.

Under UK data protection law, my lawful bases for processing your data are:
• Contract – the data is necessary to deliver the agreed life‑writing service
• Consent – particularly for recording interviews and handling sensitive personal material
You may withdraw consent at any time, although this may affect my ability to complete the work.
5. SHARING YOUR DATA
Your personal data is not shared with third parties, except where:
• Disclosure is required by law, or
• You ask me to use a printing service to carry out a short print run of the final text.
I do not sell or trade personal data.
6. HOW YOUR DATA IS STORED AND KEPT SECURE
• Digital files are stored on password‑protected devices
• Documents are backed up securely
• Physical materials are kept in a private, secure location
I take reasonable steps to protect your data from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.
7. HOW LONG I KEEP YOUR DATA
• Audio recordings and working notes are normally deleted within 6 months after final delivery, unless you ask me to retain them longer
• Final manuscripts are retained only if you request this, or for my records
• Financial records are kept as required by UK tax law

Under data protection law, you have the right to:
• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
