How It Works
An initial conversation
If you are interested in having your biography written by me, we begin with a short, free conversation to get to know each other and decide if the project feels right for the both of us.
Recorded interviews
If you decide to go ahead with a project, we will agree on its scale. Following this we will hold a series of recorded conversations where I will gather information about your life.
Writing and shaping
Following our interviews, I will draft the text carefully, shaping it into clear, readable prose. I may also research and add details about the local area or the history of the time to add context to the draft.
Review and design
When the draft is completed, I will invite you to review it and comment on changes you would like to be made. We can also discuss a design for the front cover of the book.
Printing
Once the review and design stage is complete, your biography will be sent to print. You will receive printed copies to share with loved ones.
The timescale for each project will vary depending on its length, but I will keep you informed at each stage of the process. I would aim to complete a 10,000 word project within a month.
